Hi there, I’m Whitney.

From the downbeat of my very first live overture in a theatre at the tender age of 3, I knew I had found my calling, and I haven’t lived a day since that wasn’t guided by my own creativity. Happily, I am the child of two supportive teachers, who taught me that “luck favors the prepared”; they recognized my passion and empowered my pursuit of every form of arts education I could absorb. There I found my “tribe,” and my home — eventually making my professional stage debut at the age of 11.

Mindful of the importance of balance, I paused my performing to pursue higher education in New York and London before taking a bite out of the Big Apple. Over the 30-plus years that followed, I have had the great fortune to appear on Broadway and at Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall, to grace the stages of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and to tour the great theaters of North America, Europe, Japan, and Hong Kong.

I am extremely grateful for the life experiences that have led me to teaching, my higher calling — to “pass my torch” and fortify the bridge between the arts and overall health, using creative self-expression as the portal to whole mental, physical, and spiritual wellness.

It has worked for me, I’ve witnessed it work for my two sons, and I truly believe it can benefit everyone.

“I believe that the arts shall save us all.

The universal power of art – to heal the spirit and find shared experience to bridge whatever divides us – has never failed to renew my hope for our future. By making art together, we can mend the tears in the fabric of humanity and build a better world for tomorrow.

I have joyfully lived my life by this credo."
